Just like our men's Open Road Jacket, we wanted to develop a timeless, heirloom quality jacket that looks as good on a city street as it does rolling around in the dirt at camp. With an outer layer made from split cow hide you get the abrasion resistance and durability of grain leather, but improved flexibility. Plus, we love the rugged look of a split hide. It's heavy. It's warm. It'll age like top-shelf whiskey and everyone will envy you for owning it.

Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:
Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.
- Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
- Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
- Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.

"The jacket is beautiful, well made, and I plan on wearing it for years. It does, however, run very small. I followed the recommendation and ordered a size larger than I normally wear, in this case getting a Medium. It was still too small to wear anything other than a tshirt under the jacket. I measured the Medium I received and it was 2 inches smaller across the chest than the other size Small jackets I have. I’m always a size 2 or 4 (small) and I had to order a large, which fits great and the return/exchange was a breeze."

So "barely," that she will not be able to wear, say, a heavy sweater under it. As we live in a warm climate, it should be okay. I tried to buy her an XL for comparison, but they are sold out. So purchasers beware: These jackets are small! They are really nice - if you can get the correct size."

"You wont find another like it, and you will never been as warm as you are when you are wearing it. There is not one thing I would change about this jacket, the description is perfect it truly meets all promises made and exceeds! Sizing was very true to what they said, normally I would be a xs/s but got a medium and it fit like a glove. The pockets will fit whatever tablet sized phone they put out next, the lining and hide are both premium for sure (whole room smells like fine leather since I unboxed it), the detailing is exactly what you expect from the brand. Overall I am honored to have this jacket hanging in my closet and this you would be too!"
