Made with a heavy cotton duck and built with a definitive purpose. We're talking about a heavy Talon® front zippered entry with a front placket that closes it all off with custom I&R shank buttons. The heavy collar on the Terrain Jacket is perfect to pop on those colder mornings or late-nights, plus we added front hand pockets to keep those mitts warm when everyone's taking part in that bullshit circle. It comes standard with a number of internal pockets for those daily everyday-carry items.

The Terrain Jacket fits like many of our outerwear pieces: true-to-size. The model in the photos is 6'2" + 190lbs and was wearing a size Medium, but would actually be sized up to a Large in this outerwear piece. However, if you have any question on what size to order, please reach out to us before placing your order.

you may have heard us mention duck canvas before, or maybe even have one of our past pieces. we've used cotton duck, like our Union Work Pants or Mechanic Jacket, for all sorts of daily trades. changing oil on bikes. camping. nailing up james hardie lap siding on the house. sanding fiberglass. you name it. cotton duck is so damn versatile. and it truly breaks in like a dream fabric. one of our favorites by far.
Warmth For Those Winter Months:
in our latest iteration we decided to add our Buffalo Flannel to the interior lining to provide some extra warmth and protection from those harsh winter winds.

cotton duck, aka "cotton duck canvas," is a heavy, plain weave, cotton canvas that's been woven really tightly together to make one solid material to work with. remember those lawn chairs that had that stretchy cross-weave-looking-type-pattern? it's exactly like that (called warp and weft). it's that extremely tight weave that creates an incredibly dense, very durable, fabric that has been a proven choice for many ranges of workwear. and we dig it.

"I normally wear a 40R suit coat and this jacket in size medium is form fitting, but enough room for a sweater or fleece underneath. I appreciate that the arms are longer than most M sized coats. The coat has thick fabric and a nice flannel insulation layer. I expect it to hold up to years are wear. I was hopeful to be able to use this chore jacket for splitting firewood, but the mobility is somewhat limited when my arms are overhead. I am going to keep the jacket, bit will serve a slightly different purpose than when I purchased it."

"Like everything I've ordered from I&R, I really like this jacket. The description says to order a size up if you want to layer underneath, which I did. I probably could have gotten away with ordering my regular size, but, I may appreciate the extra room as it gets colder."
Terrific Terrain
"I purchased the Terrain Jacket looking for a warm, casual jacket to wear with boots or casual dress sneakers and this fit the bill. I know that Iron & Resin markets a lot of their jackets as workwear or motorcycle jackets but I use all of my IR jackets for casual dress. . . and man do I receive compliments on them. This is made with 14 oz cotton duck canvas and a warm flannel liner. The sizing ( as with most of I&R jackets are a tad on the smaller size. I am 6' and weigh 170 lbs and the large just fits me. I would not be able to layer a hoodie underneath unless I upsized. Size up if you are between sizes or want to heavy layer. I have 6 Iron & Resin jackets, love every one and receive many compliments on them. A very minor fault is that the buttons are sometimes hard to button at first however they break in over time and become easier. Iron & Resin is great value when it comes to top of the line jackets."

"As advertised. Fitment was a little tight so I sent my "L" back for an "XL". I'm 6' - 205 so I wasn't able to wear the L with anything thicker than a T-Shirt. A sweater underneath would have never worked. It was also a little short for my torso and barely made it to my beltline. Love the build quality and it looks great."
