Wash & Care

Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:

Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.

  • Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
  • Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.
  • A cool iron on the reverse side can refresh the fabric if needed — avoid ironing directly on textured stitches.

I think I'll be happy with it. . .

"First off, it's really not that close to an N1 deck jacket. More of a standard work jacket along the Carhartt lines. But in that regard, it seems well made and should do a great job. The shoulder fit is somewhat boxy and the collar has an awkward position but I'm hoping they both relax with wear. The overall fit probably does run small, which worked out great for me personally. I got this for an excellent sale price, so worth a shot. Looking forward to weather I can wear it in!"

TOOO SMALLLL

"TO SAY it runs small cannot be overstated. you must go up 1 - 2 sizes i usually wear an large and got the XXl and just barely get into it. It is a very well made jacket and is sorta warm , perfect for california cold but not real cold. Due to its inherent tininess its is hard to layer under it to make it a good winter coat. But it works from 40 up"

Awesome Jacket

"Well made…this jacket will last a long time. Warm and comfortable. A little still but I’m sure it will loosen up once it’s broken in. Runs small. I typically were a large but had to go XL on this one."

Jacket too small, excited for replacement

"I ordered this Jacket on sale, and the only size available was a small. While the Jacket ended up being too small for me to wear properly, I could tell it was well built and intentionally designed. I was able to exchange it for another style of waxed jacket, and am eager to break it in!"

Rugged

"As with all I&R pieces, excellent quality. Love the texture of this shirt. Very substantial and heavy duty. This shirt was made to last a long time. While not billed as a shacket it could be used as one by sizing up. This is a go to shirt for me on cooler days or short rides. I’m 6’1 170lbs 32x34 and the medium fits as if it’s tailored to me."

beautiful jacket

"awesome jacket, clearly high quality, looks great, very warm, unfortunately its just a little small on me, i ordered a medium and dont have much shoulder mobility making it hard to ride or work in, im 5’11 and 175 lbs. i reached out to customer service and they were very understanding and helpful and are going to let me send it back and get a larger size jacket. i’ll make another review when i get the one i’m going to keep"

Can’t wait to get another one!

"This was by far the best fitting jacket I’ve had in a very very long time"

Chris B. (5/5)

"Jacket is really great quality, love that its waxed , it is heavy and seems like it will be warm. I will say, size up as others have stated. Ordered a large and it feels snug. Medium would have been way to small. Im 5’10 around 170lbs"

I own quite a few

"I own quite a few jackets, this one is one of best I have. It's only been a week but this is a honeymoon that may never end. . . Quality and cut are perfect. Made. To. Last. Thank you Iron & Resin."
