Wash & Care

Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:

Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.

  • Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
  • Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.
  • A cool iron on the reverse side can refresh the fabric if needed — avoid ironing directly on textured stitches.

"Bad ass! I bought 4 long sleeves. First thing I noticed was the box was HEAVY! I was thrilled each time I examined the next shirt. They have a tag with their California flag logo which reminds me of home and made me love the shirts before even spending time in them. Was not 100% confident I would like the shirts colors once I actually got them, but I totally did, and the one I was most confident I liked I liked even more than expected. Coming back to drop another $400 on shirts this week. ⚡✌️"
