Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:
Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.
- Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
- Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
- Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.
- A cool iron on the reverse side can refresh the fabric if needed — avoid ironing directly on textured stitches.

"As with all of Iron & Resin's products, this jacket's maker thought of everything. It is comfortable, fits perfectly, and is light and very warm. The hood is a perfect touch. This fits really well under my other I&R jackets (Scout & Mojave & Rogue). The ONLY thing that might increase my liking for this jacket is if it was more water resistant."

"This jackets feels super soft, way softer than it looked. Kinda a surprise or I didn’t read the description. Color is accurate - it’s such a clean color combo. I knew it was going to be light weight. Feels more like a wind breaker with padding. I’m wearing it early morning over a sweater and it’s perfect for nor cal weather. It’s meant for layering - it won’t get you there alone if the wind is up."

"had been eying this one for awhile. had not bought because i thought i needed an xs which is not available in this model. decided to buy anyhow. and am glad. ordered a size small and it is perfect. with that being said i would state the jacket runs small. many thoughtful features. have not tested it out as it is too warm currently, but planning on ordering another one in olive."
