The Yellowstone Jacket is part of our limited-edition collaboration with Hightail Ranch—a piece built for the kind of cold that settles in deep. Based on our tried-and-true Cruiser Jacket, it’s made from our heaviest Alaskan 14.75 oz water-resistant waxed cotton canvas, lined with our custom Frontier Flannel pattern, and finished with a heavy-duty Talon® zipper and button snap storm flap. A removable shearling collar adds just the right amount of versatility, whether you're out on the range or headed into town. Like all the best pieces, it only gets better with time—breaking in, molding to you, and carrying the marks of every adventure.

Wash & Care

Caring for Hand-Knit Cotton:

Cotton is more forgiving than wool but still benefits from gentle handling, especially in hand-knit form where the stitch structure is more open and delicate.

  • Hand wash in cool water with a mild detergent, or use a machine’s delicate/hand-wash cycle in a mesh laundry bag.
  • Cotton can handle slightly warmer water than wool, but keep it under 40°C to preserve color and shape.
  • Lay flat to dry just as you would with wool. Cotton knits can stretch when hung wet.
  • A cool iron on the reverse side can refresh the fabric if needed — avoid ironing directly on textured stitches.

Almost perfect

"Hi yall, Fantastic job with the cruiser line which this comes from. The fit is spot on. My only issues are with some of the stitching, particularly by sleeve cuffs and pockets some are not threaded fully or missing. Not sure if I should send it back for fixing or exchange. Second, the snaps are great but pop open very easily. Thankfully the zipper is fantastic! Lastly would be the waxing on the jacket; now I’m new with INR but I don’t feel any wariness or smell it. So it is either an amazing wax or is under waxed. Other than that Is damn near perfect. 👌 Note: would love to see removable liners on all these products/snap or zipper. Primaloft, Wool, etc. It would give us the ability to personalize with different materials and pattern/colors. Big big fan, waiting on the Rambler to come back in stock to buy. Hoping for some new colors or a mix of canvas colors on it."

"Quality is apparent immediately. I was worried about fit because I am usually a size large in shirts and jackets but I ordered an XL because Iron and Resin stuff seems to run small. I’m so glad i did. Fit is perfect. Im 6’3 and 200lbs and the fit of this jacket feels bespoke. It is a slim cut that allows for mobility in the shoulders but creates a classic V shape silhouette. I highly recommend this jacket and I plan to wear mine till i hand it down to the next generation."

"I have many InR jackets. I have the Cruiserin Black and an older Shelter Series in filed tan which is wearing awesome. But this new Hightail version with the Sheering collar is next level. So friction cool. So far I keep the Sheering collar on but there will be a time I need to take off. I tired it and it’s easy. One of the best from InR."

My work jacket

"Rugged and warm for working outside in all weather. Sherpa collar helps keep you toasty and love that you can take it off if desired. Pockets great for accessibility. Size up if planning to layer. Im 5’10” 175lbs and got the xl. Large fit but anything other than a light layer would've been too snug for me. I wear large scout for reference and have room for medium layer if needed in that."
